Back by popular demand, our beginner and intermediate workshop is a fun, practical and supportive day of learning tailored to orchestra, band, or choir conductors new to conducting or with some experience.
This workshop will cover:
Basic beat patterns and preparatory beats
Rehearsal and stick technique
Gesture and flow
Score preparation
Participants will have the opportunity to conduct a band/choir made up of other participants in the workshop.
Repertoire:
Schubert | String Quartet No. 13 - Movement 1, first 7 systems (bars 1-44)
Mozart | Eine Kleine Nachtmusik - Minuet and Trio
Beethoven | Symphony No. 1 in C major, Op.21 - Movement 1 (bars 1 - 52)
