Experience an intimate connection with OCT Ensemble performing nature-inspired music and poetry in the warm acoustic of Te Whare Tapere Iti at the Gallagher Academy of Performing Arts.
With a view of the lake and gardens at dusk and later the reflection of the lights on the water, enjoy an immersive performance of the ever-popular Carnival of the Animals by Saint-Saëns and Appalachian Spring by Copland, paired with New Zealand poetry setting the scene and evoking our own place. Conductor Rupert D’Cruze with OCT Ensemble led by Yanghe Yu (APO Acting Deputy Concertmaster) Piano Jonathan Dunlop and Jiazhou Conroy Hu.
